West Point Grey sits on the site of an ancient Musqueam village, and its 'Spanish Banks' recall the 1792 meeting of Spanish explorers with Captain Vancouver. Jeremiah Rogers set up the area's first logging camp at Jericho in 1865, and the Municipality of Point Grey incorporated in 1908 before joining Vancouver in 1929.
